The mercury has dipped. Mornings are chilly and I huddle under the blanket drifting in and out of sleep. Before I realise it it is 9.30 a.m. Moments like this make me glad I do not have a job, sneaking in an extra hour or two in bed. I do feel guilty though and my sleep cycle has been completely thrown off track. I toss and turn in bed every night falling into a restless sleep and then cannot wake up in the morning. I wish I could be the kind of person who gets up each morning bright and early, ready to face the day. But the weather and my sleep routine certainly isn’t helping. Let’s see what summer brings.
